Skills - Formation of plurals

A singular word is one that means one person or thing. A plural word is one that means more than one person or thing. In some words ending in y, the y is changed to i and es is added to form the plural.

Example: penny, pennies

A few words have an old form in the plural and some are the same in the plural as they are in the singular.

Example: child, children; goose, geese; deer, deer
