Volcanoes usually create single mountains. However, the islands of Hawaii are an example of a mountain range of volcanoes. Some are still active. Most are not. The Cascade Mountain Range runs from Canada down to northern California. They are in the ring of fire. That means there are several volcanoes in this mountain range. Mt. St. Helens is the last to have a major eruption - 1980. |
